Fees

HLCASC is a Community and Competitive Swimming Club run on a non-profit making basis. Members are required to pay an annual fee which is due in January each year. The majority of this fee registers the member with Swim England, our Governing Body, and provides insurance cover for all swimmers. The remainder of the fee is retained by the Club for the general running expenses such as registration with various swimming bodies, training for coaches and volunteers, Team Manager attendance at galas and sundry equipment.

Unlike most other Swimming Clubs, at HLCASC, swimmers pay on a ‘pay per swim basis’ rather than paying a monthly fee. The fee collected by the Leisure Centre on Monday, Friday and Saturday afternoon sessions is retained by the Leisure Centre with none passing to the Club. Session fees collected by the Club on Saturday mornings, are retained by the Club to cover the cost of coaching, pool hire and life-guarding where applicable at these sessions.

The annual membership costs for 2025/26 are as below:

• Category 1 (Club Train) – £71.85 (reduced to £46.85 for 2026)
• Category 2 (Club Compete) – £97.35 (reduced to £72.35 for 2026)
• Category 3 (Club volunteer) – Free
• Masters – £97.35 (reduced to £72.35 for 2026)
• 2nd claim club – £50 (reduced to £25.00 for 2026)

The session costs are as below:

Monday – £4.75 per session
Friday – £4.75 per session
Saturday AM – £4.75 for the session
Saturday PM – £9.50 for the two hour session, £4.75 for the one hour session (first hour).
